After making arrangements at the Funeral Home, please schedule an appointment with our pastor, Fr. Basker Lopez, MSFS, to discuss the liturgy. Please contact the parish office at 469-2637.
The members of our church community are with you in prayer at this time of great lose in your family. We are here to help you.
The Funeral Luncheon Committee serves lunch for the families of a deceased parishioner, upon request, after the funeral Mass or internment services.
To make a request for the Funeral Ministry to coordinate a funeral lunch, please contact the Altar & Rosary Society.
“Sacred music has an integral role in the funeral rites, since it can console and uplift mourners while, at the same time, uniting the assembly in faith and love. Funeral music should express the Paschal Mystery and the Christian’s share in it. Since music can evoke strong feelings, it should be chosen with care. It should console the participants and ‘help to create in them a spirit of hope in Christ’s victory over death and in the Christian’s share in that victory.’”
In a general sense, music that is appropriate for a Catholic Mass is appropriate for a Funeral Liturgy. We encourage families to select music from our hymnals, in order to facilitate the congregation’s ability to participate in the prayer. We don't allow any recorded CD's to be played for the Mass. If you have questions, please contact our Director of Music Ministry.
